CPSC Grants One Year Stay of Testing and Certification Requirements for Certain Products
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission voted unanimously (2-0) to issue a one year stay of enforcement for certain testing and certification requirements for manufacturers and importers of regulated products, including products intended for children 12 years old and younger. These requirements are part of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), which added certification and testing requirements for all products subject to CPSC standards or bans.

Sale Update

I have gotten lots of emails about the St. Patty set in the slide show. That ready to ship set is no longer avaialble but I am going to try to get more of those shirts tomorrow. So, if you would like that set, please let me know so I will know how many I will need. The set will be $39 and will ship the last week of February.

Also, some of you have asked about The Cat in the Hat set. I still have a couple of the cat in the Hat sets. I can do that set in Sizes 4-7. I think Dr. Seuss b-day is March 3 and this is always a fun event at school. Just let me know if you are interested. I only have 2 of the blue shirts left.

As you all know by now, the new CPSIA law will go in effect on February 10th. Many of you have asked about buying some of my ready to ship inventory so I have created a slideshow of some of the items that I currently have ready to ship. Please email me if you are interested in any of these items.

Wow! What a great response to the January design contest. I had 62 entries and they were all so creative and fun. I will featuring some of them over the next few months here on my blog. It was a really hard choice so I sat this one out. I has a panel of 6 boutique moms vote and the winner was........

Here is a picture of the design details that she submitted. She even included clipart. Her theme was to design a set for girl to sell their girl scout cookies. How cute is that? CPSIA LAW TAKES EFFECT ON FEBRUARY 10TH!!

Don't forget to stock up on all of your boutique clothing before February 10th. I am currently taking preorders for Easter, spring and summer clothing. As the law currently stands, After the 10th, I will only be able to provide a painting service for clothing that you provide. I will keep you posted of any updates.



This new law has the potential to shut down lots of boutique clothing designers. Even if you don't sell products you make, if you try to resell something that you have purchased prior to February 10, 2009, it will become illegal. This affects so many people. We need to continue to get the word out!

Hi everyone. I just wanted to update all of you on some upcoming changes. I am not sure how many of you have heard about the new law that will take effect on February 10th. But it requires that all childrens clothing and toys be tested for lead. This is a very expensive process and the cost can be upward of $150 per outfit. For most boutique owners, this is too high. This new law will effect both custom items as well as resells.

After, February 10, as the law currently stands, I will no longer be able to sell my clothing on ebay or my website.You can still email me directly. There are numerous lawsuits and filings that have been made to change this law and hopefully it will be amended but as of now, nothing.

Some people have made the desicion to continue selling on ebay and websites but, until the law is modified or changed, I do not want to risk being fined or going to jail.

So, if any of you would like to purchase gift certificates, outfit of the month or preorder any clothing, please let me know.

If you purchase gift certificates, you will be able to use it anytime within the next 12 months.

After February 10, I will be able to offer a painting service if you provide the clothing. The cost for this service would be $30 plus shipping for the 2-piece sets.

All sets between now and February 10 will be $45 with free shipping.

Hopefully, the congress wil change the law and I will reopen my website. If anyone need to contact me after February 10, my email address and blog will not change.
